Conquering Nerub'ar Palace: A Guide to Mythic Difficulty in The War Within

Nerub'ar Palace is the inaugural raid of World of Warcraft's "The War Within" expansion, introduced in Season 1. This raid comprises eight bosses, each presenting unique challenges, especially in Mythic difficulty.

Raid Release Schedule:

• September 10, 2024: Heroic, Normal, and Raid Finder Wing 1
• September 17, 2024: Mythic, Raid Finder Wing 2, and Story Difficulty
• September 24, 2024: Raid Finder Wing 3

Location:

Nerub'ar Palace is situated in the southern part of Azj-Kahet, near the City of Threads. Players can use the following coordinates to locate the entrance: /way 73.14 55.60. A flight point is available in the center of the city for convenient access.

Loot and Item Levels:

In Mythic difficulty, item levels increase as players progress through the raid:

• Ulgrax the Devourer and The Bloodbound Horror: Item Level 623
• Sikran and Rasha'nan: Item Level 626
• Broodtwister Ovi'nax and Nexus-Princess Ky'veza: Item Level 629
• The Silken Court and Queen Ansurek: Item Level 632

Very Rare Items:

Certain bosses drop "Very Rare" items at higher item levels:

• Sikran: Sureki Zealot’s Insignia (Neck)
• Rasha’nan: Wings of Shattered Sorrow (Back)
• Nexus-Princess Ky’veza: Void Reaper’s Warp Blade (Weapon)
• Queen Ansurek: Seal of the Poisoned Pact (Ring)

In Mythic difficulty, these items drop at Item Level 639.

Mounts:

• Reins of the Ascendant Skyrazor: Guaranteed drop from Queen Ansurek in Mythic difficulty.
• Reins of the Sureki Skyrazor: Chance to drop from Queen Ansurek on all difficulties.

Achievements and Titles:

Completing the raid on Mythic difficulty rewards:

• Cutting Edge: Queen Ansurek Feat of Strength achievement.
• Mythic: Nerub'ar Palace achievement.
• Title: "Queenslayer" for defeating Queen Ansurek on Mythic difficulty.
